Local-First Privacy Architecture

Privacy Policy

Last Updated: October 2026 • Domain: devutility.site

1. Core Principle: 100% Client-Side Computation

DevUtility.site was engineered from the ground up on a fundamental privacy principle: your data, code, tokens, passwords, and file contents belong exclusively to you.

When you use our developer tools (including JSON Formatter, JWT Decoder, Hash Generator, Password Generator, Regex Tester, or WCAG Contrast Checker), the processing occurs entirely inside your local browser runtime. No user input or generated output is transmitted to, received by, or stored on our servers.

2. Passwords, Secrets, and Tokens

For all security and generation tools:

  • We do not log, persist, or transmit generated passwords, PINs, or secret tokens.
  • Randomness is sourced via the cryptographically secure crypto.getRandomValues API.
  • Tokens and cryptographic keys reside only in ephemeral browser RAM and are purged when you close or reload the page tab.

3. Privacy-Safe Google Analytics (GA4)

DevUtility uses Google Analytics 4 (Measurement ID: G-R46VVHT0JE) with strict privacy safeguards enabled:

  • IP Anonymization is active by default.
  • We measure only anonymous aggregate product engagement (such as page visits, tool category views, or button interactions).
  • We never transmit tool input strings, output results, passwords, JWT tokens, API keys, or private URLs as analytics event parameters.

4. Local Storage Usage

DevUtility uses standard browser localStorage strictly for non-sensitive interface preferences, specifically your preferred visual theme (dark mode or light mode). We never store user data or tool histories in cookies or local storage.

5. Contact
